  • Module Details:

    Teacher Action Research is a well-known tool that enables educators to improve pedagogical practices through a cycle of inquiry, data collection, data analysis, and reflection. This workshop is designed to introduce and guide teachers through the process of identifying a topic of inquiry within their own classrooms, develop that topic into a research question, plan for and conduct research, then to analyze and draw conclusions based on the data.
    Session 1: Introduction to action research and its components
    Session 2: Discuss teaching practices and how to develop research questions based on classroom needs
    Session 3: Identify research for compiling a literature review that supports research question Session
    4: Designing an action research project

    By the end of the Program, the participants will be able to

    • Identify components of action research
    • Use reflective practices to identify areas of need in the classroom
    • Use research to guide decision-making
    • Design a project for their classroom
