    Formative Assessments are not new but doing the same through an online portal is new to many of us and requires us to immediately modify and upgrade our practices as it remains crucial that teachers find ways to see what students are learning.

    There are several formative assessment strategies, tools, and apps for everything from discussion to quizzing, polling, and student responses to interactive lessons and videos. This webinar will enable the educators to unlock the full potential of formative assessment in an online classroom!

    Session 1: Innovative AFL Techniques that could be used during an online class
    Session 2: Using Gamification to check for understanding and / or review
    Session 3: Interactive Lessons and Discussion Tools that support formative assessment
    Session 4: Quizzing, Polling, and Student Response to collect evidence of learning
    By the end of the program, the participants will be able to:

    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how online formative assessments are similar to and different from the techniques used in a physical classroom
    • Explore specific strategies and digital tools to support formative assessment in an online setting
    • Identify and evaluate a range of online formative assessment methods in terms of their appropriateness for specific objectives and purpose
    • Design online formative assessments that meet diverse learners’ needs, drawing on a range of evidence to support design decisions
