The Aditya Birla Education Trust
The Aditya Birla Education Trust
The Aditya Birla Education Trust marks the foray of the organisation into the field of education and since then it has always strived to nurture young minds.
Right from establishing The Aditya Birla World Academy, an International School, to The Aditya Birla Integrated School, which acknowledges the need for a school that caters to children with special needs, the education trust, chaired by the very passionate and committed Mrs Neerja Birla, has always prioritised the importance of a child’s development.
The Trust has also established Mpower, a centre dedicated to creating awareness and ending the stigma associated with mental health.
At ABEA, we strive to
Enhance your abilities as educators
Provide courses that supplement your skills as a facilitator
Help you achieve better results in their classroom interactions
This story begins with us, but it is only with you that we can continue this saga.
To engage educators in the new-age global processes of education and empower them to evolve into the best knowledge-givers they can be, as they nurture young minds and contribute towards shaping the future.
Mrs. Neerja Birla
The best schools are the ones that succeed in becoming a home away from home for their students. And the best teachers are those who are effective in becoming dependable stand-in parents for the students when they’re away from their parents.
Educators have the crucial job of: imparting knowledge and learning, nurturing talents and gifts, imbibing values and disciplines, and looking after the emotional well-being of students. Within each student there is innate goodness, a wellspring of creativity and a heart full of dreams. But it is his or her teachers who often hold the key to unlocking all that remarkable potential.
Which is why, I have always believed that teachers are special people – blessed souls entrusted with the most critical and noble responsibility of shaping the minds and the imaginations of future generations.
After all, only with knowledge and imagination can humanity evolve. But as we evolve, those who impart knowledge must evolve as well.
Rabindranath Tagore once said – Don’t limit a child to your own learning for he was born in another time.
Fortunately, our education system has made rapid and substantial strides in so many ways in recent years. But it is time we also focus on the need for our educators and school administrators to update their skillsets on a continual and planned basis.
It is imperative that our educators evolve with changing times. They need to adapt to contemporary, avant-garde knowledge and adopt innovative tools and resources of teaching. They must become out-of-the-box thinkers in order to impart the much needed new-age education.
The Aditya Birla Education Academy (ABEA), an endeavour of the Aditya Birla Education Trust, is an attempt to nurture the aspirations of the brilliant and dedicated educators who nurture young minds; to give them impetus to pursue their ambitions and fast-track their career growths.
Using state-of-the-art, comprehensive and holistic resources by way of tie-ups with renowned educational institutions from across the world, ABEA aims to equip educators with cutting-edge skills and modern tools to enhance their abilities and make them privy to 21st century modes of teaching. This will allow them to think differently and execute their decisive roles far more effectively.
The Aditya Birla Education Academy is a judiciously planned attempt to empower educators; to augment their skillsets to global levels; to give them an opportunity to grow and flourish; to help them become the best knowledge-givers they can be.

The world continues to change all around us--faster than ever before.
So, what’s the secret to thriving in a world that is constantly changing? Learning!
There are no secrets to success. It is the preparation, hard work and learning that makes one surge ahead. It is of paramount need that one should develop a passion for learning especially in this ever changing world where challenges are met at every step. It is also extremely essential for one’s growth to keep learning and set new standards and few limitations. As facilitators, teachers or guiding lights of the new age learners, who are extremely demanding, one needs to constantly enhance their personal skills, so that they are revered and are looked up to.
So the secret to success in this ever changing world is to acquire knowledge and most importantly widening of one’s knowledge that will cater to the demands of one’s professional needs, one needs to stay curious, be open to new information, and take an active role to keep up with the changes in and around oneself.
Change is the end result of all new learning
- Leo Buscaglia
Most of us, as educators, have been also transported into the world of technology, quite unknown to us, compared to the generation Y and yet we are expected to be fluent with that in our day to day classroom teaching. Thus to be fluent with the technological language, first we need to learn the skill.
Aditya Birla Educational Academy envisions a forum for the 21st century educators to prepare to take on leadership roles in schools, colleges and universities. The intellectually intense and personally invigorating courses will give the knowledge and skills essential for professional advancement and to handle the present day challenges in the day to day work life.
